Students had 20 minutes to finish their Unit 2 test. If students were unable to finish they need to see me on making an appointment on when they can finish it. I introduce integers and absolute values today.
Homework:
Challenge 2-1 WS all I changed the instructions for #1-8; order the numbers from least to greatest.

Today we went over the Mixed Practice WS from yesterday then started working on the Review of Fractions & Integers WS.
HW: Do the ODDS & both WORD PROBLEMS on both sides of the Review of Fractions & Integers WS
Today the students took the unit 2 test. Students will have 20 minutes tomorrow to finish the unit 2 test if they did not finish today.
HW: define and find example for the unit 3 terms & study for the unit 2 test if you did not finish it

Today we learned how we use percents in finding sales tax and discounts on merchandise.

Today students turned in their math packets that they were to finish over the weekend. Also we went over a unit 2 study guide to help prepare for tomorrow's Unit 2 Test.

Today we discovered the rules for multiplying and dividing integers.
HW: worktext p42 odds and both word problems.
Today we did Practice A and Practice B worksheet from chapter 4-3 (Interpreting Graphs).
HW: Reteach WS do both sides
Used red and yellow chips to discover the rule for subtracting integers.
HW: worktext p37 odds and both word problems **Remember you are to rewrite each subtraction problem into an addition problem, like we did in class today.
Created a larger size graph to display the groups data from the Jumping Jack Experiment. 7th Period missed out on this because they were too talkative.
