Math 7 April 14

Students that finished the Algebra Quiz the Friday either started to make corrections with me or did an extra credit assignment.  Those that did not take or finish the Algebra Quiz finished it today.

Students were asked to turn in their Spring Packets today.  I did not collect them, each student turned in their own packet.

HW: nothing assigned

Extra Credit Assignment: textbook p 728 #35-40 all SHOW WORK; p 731 #46-56 all SHOW WORK; p 734 #17-20 all  DRAW OUT THE TABLES   (all of this is considered one assignment)

Math 6/7 April 4

Today the students continued to work on the "Want Ads Task" that they worked on yesterday.  We also discussed what are the characteristics of direct variation.  I was unable to get a CRCT review packet to them to do over Spring Break, sorry.  The students will have to be prepared to work very hard when they return so we can prepare for the CRCT.

Today all 7th grade students took a Algebra Quiz.  Students also took home a spring break math packet. There are a total of 24 problems in the packet, students only have to do 20 problems.  The following is the rubric for the packet.

Math 6/7 Mar 31 - April 3

The students where given the unit 8 parent letter on Monday to share with their parents.

The rest of the week students have been given review on finding percent of a number.  Started working with direct variation (proportions).

Today students were given the "Want Ads Task" and asked to finish #1-7.  If the students were unable to finish in class it was to be done for homework. 

Math 7 Mar 31 - April 3

The students reviewed different algebra concepts this week.  Each of the 7th grade math teachers made their way around to each 7th grade math class to review over a concept of algebra.  Tomorrow the students will be given a quiz to see how well they payed attention to each teachers review.

HW:  Study notes that were taken throughout this week.

Students received their Surface Area & Volume Quizzes back today.  Those who score was lower than an 80% were able to make corrections and ask for help during class.  The rest of the class worked in the Math Coach Books to help prepare themselves for the CRCT.
