Progress Report--Make up Work

Progress Reports are going home today, April 30. Students are to bring the progress report back signed by a parent and it should also include the best phone number to contact that parent on. They are allowed to make up ONE assignment that will hopefully bring their grade up. The make up work is done no later than Monday, May 5 during their respective class. Current Event Article #2

All articles are due no later than Tuesday, April 22, 2008.

Students do not have to summarize the article, just put your name, class period and “Article #2” on it and place it inside your class folder near the door. You have at least one (1) day to bring the article for me to review it (to make sure that you have the right kind for the specified topic) before its submission date.  The article can not be older than January 1, 2008.

If you get an article from the newspaper or magazine, make sure that you have the ENTIRE article and write the publication and publication date on the article. Articles from Wikipedia will not be accepted.

All grades—Related to the respective module that they will be working at this first rotation.

6th and 8th Grade Module Rotation Completion

The week of March 3-8, 2008 will be the last week for module rotations for the 6th and 8th grade. Please make sure that your student is at school everyday  or has a pass to come at 8:15a.m. to complete his/her assignments.

2.25-26.2008 Progress Reports

Students have been given progress reports to get signed after their first module rotation. For the most part, students are failing this class. Please be reminded that the modules count 50% of the class. So that your student will not receive another zero, please sign and return the progress report. They will be accepted through Thursday of this week. Each day it is late, ten points is deducted.

Please review the course syllabus and the make-up requirements. There will be no extra credit given. Students must become responsible for their classwork and get it done. It is time out for excuses.

Week of February 11. 2008

6th and 8th grades will complete module rotation #1 on Wednesday, February 13. We will begin module rotation #2 on Thursday, February 14.

7th grade will complete module rotation #1 Thursday, February 21.

Progress reports will go home on Wednesday, February 13. Please return them on Thursday signed so that your student will recieve the maximum points for this assignment.

Parent Visitation Day

For the Week of January 28, 2008

Starting Wednesday, January 30, 6th and 8th grade students will begin working in the lab on the modules. the 7th grade students will begin their bridge building project on Tuesday, January 29. This project should be completed Tuesday, February 5 which will be the day that we will also have the bridge breaking contest. Ask your student for details.
