Our first meeting will be this Friday, August 24th, at 8:15 in the theatre.

Returning members: $5.00

These are the following projects which we are considering:

  • Car Wash
  • Lollipops
  • Movie Night
  • Nursing Home (on East- West Connector)
  • Campus Clean-Up
  • Stocking Delivery
  • Bailey's (16th of December)
  • Angel Tree (7th of December)
  • Valentine Hearts
  • Open House (September 11th)

Consider these projects and decide which ones you prefer.  We will vote on them at a future meeting.

How do you know if you are a member?

You could be a member if you were in the BETA club at your previous elementary school.  (This only pertains to sixth graders.)

If you were a BETA member last year and continued to have an A/B average, you should still be in this organiziation.

Agenda for April 23rd

Agenda for 3/23

·        Remember, in order to remain in BETA Club, you must do three projects this year. Also, in order to go on the field trip, you must have completed three projects and have appropriate grades. Some of our upcoming projects are:

o      Car wash at ACE Hardware on

Richard D. Sailors Parkway
from 10:00am to 2:00pm. There will be a sign up sheet available to sign up for the first shift (10:00-12:00), the second shift (12:00-2:00), and the bake sale. Make sure any baked goods you donate for the bake sale are home baked.

o        Next Thursday, March 29th, is the after school campus cleanup. The more volunteers we have, the faster we can finish. There will be a sign up sheet for this too.

·        The field trip is April 27th. If you have not gotten a neon yellow permission form yet, see Ms. Gochman. The money and permission forms are due no later than April 11th.

·        Remember, you can do service projects outside of school. If you would like to do one, get a form from Ms. Gochman.

·        Think about running for offices for next year. At the end of this year, we will elect the president and vice-president(s).

·        Saturday trip: Ms. Gochman has called the skating rink, and because we have such a large group, we would have to reserve the whole rink, which is very expensive. She has suggested that we instead wait until

Sun Valley

Beach

opens and go there on a Saturday instead. We voted at the meeting, and it was unanimous that we are going to go to Sun Valley Beach when it opens.
