This week we will learn about line of best fit. We should complete this unit by the end of the week, so we will plan for a Unit test sometime during the week of March 9. We will discuss this in class this week. Also, if you have not returned the parent letter that I gave you on Thursday, make sure you bring it on Monday. This week we will begin our study of the Binomial Theorem and Pascal's triangle. If you click on the image above, I think you can make it larger and see the numbers in Pascal's triangle. See if you can figure out how it works. Maybe you already know. I am planning for us to finish up this unit on Monday, March 9th. Review on March 10, and have the Post Test on March 11 or 12th, depending on us keeping on schedule. Homework this week will come from your textbook, NOT your workbook. This week, we will learn about surface area and volume of 3D shapes. Also, don't forget to turn in your test corrections if you want to receive half credit for your corrections. 4th and 5th period received a class contract. Please remember to show the contract to your parents. The contract should be signed by both you and your parents. Weekly guidelines are below. These include your homework assignments for the week.

Here are the weekly guidelines for this week. Please remember to come to class prepared each day with pencils and paper.
This week we will look at measures of central tendency. This includes mean, median, mode, interquartile ranges. We will also look at Mean Absolute Deviation. Attached are your weekly guidelines and a handout that discusses sampling bias.
Math 6 and Math 67! Your weekly guidelines are attached below. Remember to look at the bottom of the guidelines to find your homework assignments. We will continue our study of 3-D shapes. We will be working very hard to master the vocabulary from this unit since you will be using these words in high school math and, perhaps, even college math! So please come to class prepared each day.
The grades on our last post test were not that great. I will return the tests to you on Thursday and you will be given a chance to make test corrections for half credit per correction. I will explain how to make the corrections on Thursday. But I will say that all corrections must be made on a separate piece of paper--NOT on the test.
Hey, Math 78! We have a fun week planned. We will continue to work with slope and slope intercept form. Remember, you must learn the formula for slope and the slope-intercept form. At the end of the week, we hope to begin learning how to graph inequalities. Fun! Fun! Fun! You might want to bring a few colored pencils when we start graphing inequalities. It will make the graphs easier to understand. Your weekly guidelines are attached below.
This week we will look at Expected Value and Sampling methods. One of the sampling methods we will look at is a stratified random sample. The image above shows an example of what a stratified random sample is. Your homework this week will come from your red Notetaking Workbook. Your weekly guidelines are attached below. I will summarize the parents' meeting in another blog entry, so please make sure you show that blog to your parents.
